'Winter is coming'...Sadly how appropriate quote for my ancestors land,Greece.Even it's the first week of Spring officially.Corruption in every aspect of public life, loss of traditional values, democracy slayed in her bed and a cloud of fear and disaster above our heads. So what can an individual do in a situation like this? Is self-pity and despair the only way? Or do we have to wait for someone to rescue us? Easy answers is the field that politicians triumph. The first step to solve a problem is to realize it.Raising my head above the fence that consists an average-ordinary day of the western-way of life,i realize that life was never just a walk in the park for no-one!And yet here we lay, stunned from 'what happened to us' unable to understand the simple fact that we left the wheel of our lives to a pathetic gang of traitors.
The only solution for me,is to change.Set aside the 300 professional liars we have to change ourselves.I have to change.I always had the believe that one day i'll publish my own story,a book,a graphic novel something...And then always i postponed it.Because they let us  believe that it's someone else's fault and it's ok to...'stay in your eggs' because "that's the way things are".We finally have to fight with the 'Elephant in the kitchen',now that we are despaired and have nothing to lose, now is the time to be what we supposed to.
Maybe your job isn't what you dreamed of but accept it and give to it all your strength or defy the odds and chase what you are really made for.
If someone thinks for himself that he got's what it takes to do the next step and believes there are no opportunities "here" he has to find them elsewhere! It's cruel but true.Or he has to find others that share the same dream and create the opportunity! There is no magic wand and things are getting worst but unless we try we will never know.
Comic Art ain't for the rich and that's one of the reason that i love it.Artist has to be active citizen but outside any politic environment, free to express common sense and awake public opinion.

'Ithaca'

'When you set out on your journey to Ithaca,
pray that the road is long,
full of adventure, full of knowledge.
The Lestrygonians and the Cyclops,
the angry Poseidon -- do not fear them:
You will never find such as these on your path,
if your thoughts remain lofty, if a fine
emotion touches your spirit and your body.
The Lestrygonians and the Cyclops,
the fierce Poseidon you will never encounter,
if you do not carry them within your soul,
if your soul does not set them up before you.

Pray that the road is long...'
